The history of Martin Racing Performance began in 1994 as a small scooter operation in Miami, FL.

It began as a side project as Froilan Martin traveled to Asia to collect Japanese scooters with his car company. Eventually the dealership managed by Mr. Martin and his father grew from a few samples to sell over 5,000 used Japanese scooters in Florida. If someone wanted a Honda Joker, a Suzuki Love, a new YSR or even a JOG BW there was only one place to go and that was the Scooter Shop on 12th St in Miami. Eventually the company went from assembling used Honda and Yamaha exotics to retailing new vehicles from legendary MZ, Kasea, Derbi, and several brands in the late 1990s.

Eventually the company was disbanded and began importing only new vehicles with the formation of Malaguti (2000-2005), SYM (2003) and several Chinese makes and models over the years. In 2005 the company left the vehicle importation business to be solely dedicated to parts and service thus MRP emerged as the premier source of Asian scooter parts importing the first Chinese made Honda Air Cooled GY6 racing parts as well as becoming innovators in the customization scene. Since 2005 MRP has been an innovator bringing in new accessories and parts before widely adopted by the mainstream scene. Using the knowledge obtained in the new vehicle importation business they began specializing in hard to find parts for new twist n go Scooters, Atvs, and Utvs.

MRP is now the largest after-market “wholesale only” tech service center for performance and OEM parts for scooters the United States. We work with top name manufacturers and distributors including Malaguti, MH Motorcycles, Daelim, Diamo, Kymco, UM, Vespa, CPI, Aprilia, and many more. In 2009 MRP absorbed 6 other distributors that closed their doors or liquidated in the United States including LS Motorsports, Keeway Sourtheast ( importer of QJ branded products ), CPI USA ( a division of CPI Taiwan ), Cubik Scooters, to name a few. Now in it’s third generation the third Martin in line is credited for transforming MRP's operational structure from a focus on North American sales and distribution of Malaguti scooters (2000-2005), Italy's second largest scooter manufacturer, to a general distributor, emphasizing strategic partnerships to meet the wholesale needs of the growing scooter, buggy, go-kart, small ATV-UTV, and powersport retail stores needs in America. The company has

expanded with MRP distributors in South and Central America as well as Europe. MRP branded products have been sold in over 50 countries with over 200 international dealers now buying from Miami.

As of 2010 MRP is now the main technical resource center for over three scooter distributors in the United States offering dealer training, technical support, and racing accessories for most European and Asian manufactured scooters. MRP currently services over 1100 Scooter retail locations in America including leading regional franchises from Vespa, Honda, Yamaha, Malaguti, Aprilia, and more.

Mr. Martin is frequently featured in scooter trends and sales reports in prominent industry publications such as Motorcycle Product News, Dealer News, and Motorcycle Industry Magazine. He has appeared on Telemundo, CNN, CNN en Espanol, Univision, Speed Channel and is a frequent guest on 2Xtreem TV. He is scheduled to appear on a new show “Throttle Junkies” with the talent from Discovery’s hit TV show American Chopper in 2010.
